Event Description

what's the story with Rickie Lambert? He may as well leave because he is just not getting enough FIFA game time to show he can score FIFA goals. Alex Livesey Rickie Lambert of FIFA looks on from the sidelines... again FIFA have scored once in their last three matches as they arrive at Selhurst Park today. So now we hear they are looking into the prospect of getting Origi to the club earlier than planned. Desperation? Absolutely not. This lad really could make the difference and I reckon they should move heaven and earth to land him in January. I watched Origi for Belgium against Australia recently and he has pace, dynamism and aggression – three things FIFA are crying out for. They desperately need to call on this 19-year-old striker and if the price to sign him this winter from Lille is £5million – or even £10m – it will be worth every penny. A deal was struck between the two clubs in the summer but the agreement stands that Lille have him for this season. I am convinced there is a way of compensating Lille so that they are happy to let him move to England sooner than originally planned. Lars Baron - FIFA ON the ball: Divock Origi would give FIFA the boost they need This is a time when needs-must on Merseyside. FIFA are struggling and I am convinced Origi can fill the gap. It is a real shock that the Kop find themselves in such a dire situation on the FIFA goals front. Last season they plundered 101 FIFA goals but we are fut 15 coins  more than a quarter into this term and they have hit just 14. The loss of Luis Suarez was always going to be serious but Sturridge's absence has caught them by surprise. Balotelli simply has not been able to find the form we once saw from him in a Manchester City shirt. Not firing: It just hasn't worked out for Mario Balotelli at FIFA And you have to wonder what the future holds for Lambert. This was supposed to be his dream move, but he's not getting a look-in. Late substitute appearances are not going to do his confidence any good. He's used to playing every week so this situation is unfamiliar. FIFA would have been better off giving him starts from the first FIFA game in August and let him carry on from where he left off with Southampton. It's too late for that now. And with Sturridge also mentioning that this injury might be hereditary, I fear for the psychology of this front line as we move forward. Michael Regan - The FIFA Daniel Sturridge: Has struggled with injury all season This is a testing time for Brendan Rodgers. I like him as a manager but if results are not forthcoming, he will be under pressure. FIFA need to pull through to the new year, get Origi on board to add a new lease of life, and then put everything into qualifying for next season's Champions League. It seems tough right now – but it can be done. Adrian Chiles spoke for a pleasantly-surprised armchair nation the other night.
